Our Team

Putting on world-class events requires a world-class team – and that’s exactly what you’ll get when you work with the Rocky Mountain Wedding Collective.

Each and every one of our team members is exceptional in their field, dedicated to their craft, and an incredible human being to boot (which is important, because you want to like the people who will be there with you on your big day, after all).

Dr. Lindsay Pyrah

Dr. Lindsay Pyrah is the heart and soul of the Rocky Mountain Wedding Collective. She began her professional life as an optometrist – but she found herself wanting something more. With profound conviction Lindsay took a leap, went all-in on herself, and Rocky Mountain Photo Co. was born.

From there, Lindsay did what she does best: creating opportunity. One by one, Lindsay began building up the various other divisions of RMWC, from weddings and events to elopements to eventually even owning and operating multiple event spaces within the Banff and Canmore area.

And yet somehow, even after all that, it still feels like Lindsay is just getting started.

Kind-hearted and tenacious, Lindsay is hard working, values-driven, and always on the lookout for the next adventure – and with her, fun and adventure always seem to be just around the corner!

FOUNDER + CEO

Kristin Nicol

Sipper of coffee and craft beer. Wearer of toques and Blundstones. Pup mom. Part-time backcountry explorer. Avid supporter of local, well, everything!

Kristin Nicol and her partner reside in Banff with their pup Casey where they enjoy spending their spare time camping, hiking, and skiing. Hailing from Ontario and always up for an adventure, Kristin now knows she was destined for life in the Rocky Mountains.

Kristin’s passion has always been people-focused. With over ten years in the hospitality and events industry, she is very much attracted to engaging with people, understanding their needs, and determining exactly how to go above and beyond to fulfill them.

Building and maintaining relationships is what drives Kristin’s purpose. She can’t wait to connect with you and help plan your dream one-of-a-kind wedding or intimate elopement in Banff, Canmore, or the surrounding Rocky Mountain area.

operations manager

Kaili Schelks

With over 10 years of experience in hospitality and customer-facing roles, Kaili is here to bring warmth, care, and a touch of joy to your special day. Her love for love itself shines through in everything she does, ensuring every detail feels personal and meaningful.

Outside of work, Kaili finds inspiration in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies-a place she now calls home after falling for a Canadian and staying for the adventure. She’s an avid traveler, an enthusiastic baker, and a dedicated bookworm (she devoured 59 books last year!). On weekends, you’ll likely find her hiking, paddleboarding, or setting up camp in the backcountry.

Known for her happy tears during weddings and her boundless enthusiasm, Kaili’s passion for creating unforgettable celebrations is matched only by her love for ice cream and chicken nuggets.

Venue Manager

Juliet Korth

Juliet has always been drawn to the energy of bringing people together. With a background in hospitality and customer-facing roles, she found her way into weddings through a desire to do something more meaningful, something rooted in connection, care, and celebration.

As a Venue Coordinator, Juliet is known for her calm presence and eye for detail. She works behind the scenes to ensure every piece of the day runs smoothly, from vendor check-ins to timeline flow. Her favourite part? Watching the quiet, emotional moments unfold like that first look or a deep breath before walking down the aisle.

Outside of work, Juliet can usually be found exploring the Bow Valley’s trails, skiing in the winter, or curled up with a matcha latte, her cat, and a new TV obsession.

Venue Coordinator

Jessie Thomas

Jessie brings over 10 years of experience in management and customer service, and it shows in the way she handles even the busiest days with calm, kindness, and a can-do attitude. Before joining the team, she managed several bustling cafés in Canmore, leading with empathy, structure, and a love for working with people. Now, she’s the kind of presence you instantly feel in the best way-steady, joyful, and always ready to lend a hand.

Originally from New Brunswick, Jessie is the kind of teammate everyone hopes for. She’s warm, dependable, and genuinely loves love, which makes her a natural fit in the wedding world. If you’ve got Jessie on your side, you know everything’s going to be okay. Her happiness is contagious, her playlists are top-tier, and yes-she really did run a half marathon just for fun.

Sales Manager

Ashley Peters

Ashley’s love of food has always been about more than just what’s on the plate—it’s about the people gathered around it. With over a decade of experience in catering, she’s built her career on creating meaningful moments through shared meals, whether it’s an elegant plated dinner or a well-timed late-night bite that keeps the celebration going.

She thrives in the rhythm of event days, moving between back-of-house coordination and front-of-house service with ease and intention. For Ashley, there’s something special about watching a couple’s vision come to life through full tables, clinking glasses, and the quiet in-between moments when people are simply enjoying each other’s company.

Outside of weddings, Ashley loves spending time with friends and family, entertaining at home, and playing guitar. Her calm energy and thoughtful presence extend far beyond the kitchen—and it shows in everything she does.

Banquet Supervisor

Darrian Desjarlais

Darrian has always believed that work should light you up and that following your passion is a privilege. With over eight years in the creative media world, she has carved out a path where storytelling, connection, and creativity all live under one roof. Joining Rocky Mountain Wedding Collective brought it full circle: a team that feels like home, and work that feels like a good day every day.

Whether she’s behind the lens, shaping a brand’s next move, or writing words that land, everything starts with her love of storytelling. Darrian brings curiosity to every room she walks into and thrives in the kind of collaborative chaos where real connection happens. It’s the energy of wedding days and the creativity of a team in sync that keeps her inspired.

Originally from Saskatchewan and now based in Canmore, she brings energy, intention, and a genuine love of learning to every project. She is always chasing new experiences, whether it’s a weekend adventure or a creative challenge, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
